- Name — displayed on leaderboards and in chat
- Email address — used for account identification
- Profile picture URL — displayed alongside your name
We also collect data you generate while using StockGame:
- Trading activity (buys, sells, limit orders)
- Portfolio and holdings data
- Chat messages sent in games
- Achievements earned
- Watchlist entries
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the fantasy stock market game
- To display your name and activity on leaderboards and in games
- To send you in-app notifications about game events
- To maintain and improve the service
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth — used for authentication. Google’s privacy policy applies to data they collect during sign-in.
- Twelve Data — provides stock market price data. We send no personal data to Twelve Data.
4. Cookies & Sessions
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This is a functional cookie required for the site to work. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information (name, email, profile picture) is removed and replaced with anonymous placeholders. Game data (trades, scores) is retained in anonymised form for leaderboard integrity.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Export your data — download all your personal data from Account Settings
- Delete your account — permanently anonymise your account from Account Settings
